Have had no issues with my 5500, many hills here in the Missouri Ozarks and have found none that my bike won’t zoom right up. We ride on the Katy Trail 20-25 miles and only use 1bar out of 5 on the battery.
I do wish the customer had the ability to select the percent of power that’s applied on each pas position so I could match wife’s bike.
I would buy again.

By Man***Hi Robert, We're thrilled to hear that your 5500 tackles the challenging hills of the Missouri Ozarks with ease! It's fantastic that you can enjoy long rides on the Katy Trail while utilizing only a fraction of the battery. We appreciate your feedback on customizable power levels and look forward to serving you again in the future. Happy riding! Sincerely, Addmotor TechJun 05,2023 17:14:06

I have 3 ebikes, two of them are from Addmotor. The M-5500 is my favorite. It’s a fast bike with plenty of torque though I’d appreciate more. I like the bike but I do have a few criticisms. 1. The seat is a killer on your butt. 2. There is no integrated brake or tail light. It needs more top speed. I got it up to about 29-30 mph but you people in China have to understand that in America there is no one checking our bike speed. We like to have the ability to go fast if we have to. Why can’t we override the motor codes and go faster? We like speed and power here in America and if you want to sell more bikes make it easy for us to override your codes to make it go faster. This bike with the 1250 watt motor should be able to reach 40mph on flat ground. Why don’t you give us the codes so we can decide? Other bikes sold in America give us codes and instructions on how to make it go faster. That’s what my peers and I want. Also, do you ever plan on developing a dual motor ebike? I hope you do because Ariel Rider has some that are outselling your bikes. Anyway, so far so good. Both bikes are very well made.

My new M-5500 arrived yesterday. Very easy to unpack and assemble. The key is to have patience and follow the steps as directed. All was in good working order with the exception that my front brake lever needed adjusting. HINT: do not try to Google the 'how to" solution, just contact Addmotor direct through their chat desk. They were great and sent me a video link that took care of exactly what I needed. On to the bike itself-fantastic!! I can not believe the power of this thing! I am 320lbs, 6'4" and I never got out of 4th gear (my standard setting) or assist level 1...and this was on uneven terrain! The turbo is extremely sound and responsive although not necessary where I rode today. I have an older ebike that I really enjoyed but it would not get me up the mountain terrain/roads in the Colorado Rockies where I reside in the summer. I have no doubt that this M-5500 will more than be adequate! Summary-no regrets and extremely happy both with the bike and the customer service. Highly recommend you give them a shot.

Too early to really gauge everything but very happy so far! I was a bicycle mechanic for years and an avid road biker. Health issues forced me to hang up my Torelli a few years ago and I’ve really missed riding since then. I don’t know anything about electric bikes but chose the 1250 for the high watt motor, 16aH battery and the reasonably low weight of the bike (80#?). Addmotor called to make sure the bike would fit me before they shipped it, it arrived early and I soon realized why they called, this thing is a Beast it’s BIG. It comes out of the box and assembles just like every other bike basically, straightforward build (complete tool kit is included too). The manual is a little vague on how the electronics work but riding it around the block a few times I have pretty much figured out how it out...
I’m old school.
It took a few minutes to figure out the key, the locking bolt wasn’t quite lining up with the slide carrier and would not allow full rotation of the key to power up the system, lifted the battery pack up and it locked in allowing the key to turn properly. Had to make a trip to the hardware store and get a nut and bolt for the front fender/headlight, no big deal. The button on the throttle turns the handgrip On/Off.. Easy to program perimeters into the computer.
Good to go, took it out this afternoon.. zero problems! It has 5 power settings I believe, I set it at 2 to run her in and get a feel for how everything worked. The cadence detector is nice, you start pedaling and the motor kicks in and gets you up to 14-16mph in a quick hurry and rolled up to 20 mph, twisting the grip is FUN. The fluid hydraulic disc brakes are sweet, 1-2 finger operation that stops the bike quick and won’t wear your hands out while you ride. The fork seems pretty nice, it’s not a Marzoochi Bomber or anything but a nice touch with a lock-out all the same. Good pedals (I’ll put my cleats on after a few rides when I get back into it).Shimano drive (maybe next year they’ll upgrade to Campy, lol)
The frame has a nice geometry and really beefy welds, rear rack looks likes like and is built like a roll bar, very nice for the panniers! I took it out for about a 20 mile ride and I’m not kidding I got 5-6 compliments on it, people really like the look of this puppy, don’t leave it in front of the store for ‘just a second’ while you run in. I’ll get back here after I put a few miles on and get a feel for everything. So far, HECK YA! It’s really nice to ride again, if you have a few $$ and want to have some fun this Beast is 2 Thumbs Up! Thanks Addmotor!

solid Value. I enjoy this bike my first E bike. Feels solid a little heavy to lift( but I don't plan on bench pressing this Bike) I am retired so I plan on mostly pleasure use with occasional trips to the market. So far quiet, powerful and stable are best descriptors. My only criticism is the relatively cheap seat I am 6' at 250 lbs this seat could definitely use more padding ( I just upgraded to a better seat and the ride more comfortably) This bike is more expensive than most I have seen, aside from far out $ 4000-5000 models( at that point I would buy an Electric scooter)Over all a Good choice for the Plus sized rider. I would buy again with the caveat of getting a better seat.

This bike is by far the best bike I have ever owned. I love riding it around and exploring new places where I never would have gone before. The flying tiger sign painting on the front tube is the ultimate special artwork. The seat is very comfy and I love both the front and rear disc brakes that can hold in strong stopping power. The gears are solid and very easy to use. Tires hold the road, no matter what the road may be. The battery is long last and performs as advertised. This bike like this has changed the game.

I got the bike together quick. Iread the instructions but was not able to access all the functions. Small flaw with the tires on downhill gravel paths. The bike slides out from under you. That might be my fault since I am a right leg amputee. One thing I am tired of is having to hold a button down and the throttle at the same time to use motor. I bought the bike to get out of the house because of my nissing leg. What is fun is setting the bike on 5 and taking off and cruise

Received my bike today, all good until riding. The front suspension is garbage. Other than that its awesome. I suggest rockshox bluto. Other than that it is a really fun bike.
