I previously wrote a review starting with this bike is fast. I wanted to update it as I have a bit of riding done now.

First off, the bike is still crazy fast. So fast I bought a bell motorcycle helmet. With a bit of peddling you can get just about anywhere quick. Battery life exceeds my expectations regularly.

Both the front and rear shocks do exactly what they should. I left the front shocks soft, set as at the factory and Im glad I did. The soft front shocks have saved me more than once from skidding the front wheel in gravel. The brakes are very nice but while learning to ride this bike I did make a few mistakes. That being said.. the shocks compensated for my mistakes and I didn’t fall.

The battery charge is pretty quick.. I have ran the bike to about 1/3rd charge remaining. It seems to take approx 2-3 hours to charge but I haven't timed it because it's fairly quick. The connector to charge the bike is a bit difficult at first. It's not stated in the instructions but bit it sort of snaps into place. It gave me some difficulty at first.

Riding this bike is a blast. Hill climbing is my favorite. I love doing 25 or so up a steep road while peddling. You can cruise right up with ease. Downhill I tend to go slow. The brakes are good and thus far they seem to not lock.. I haven't tried to lock them though.

Typically I ride 1-2 hours in the evening on streets/hills/trails within 5 /10 miles of my home. The battery holds a charge very well. I try to head home at 50% power because I'm tired by that point so battery is a must. I'm an old man so I don't beat this thing.. I just cruise as I know if I fall it going to hurt far worse than when I was 23/30/40/50. I did wind it out a few times and was impressed and in all honesty a bit scared. I am very happy with my purchase and would buy it again.

OK.. Here is my very short wish list for this bike.

I would like the speedometer to be in miles per hour instead of km. It's hard to do metric conversion at 30 mph...

A tail light that is brake actuated.

A longer kick stand.

And the derailer..I think it's called.. To be better adjusted from the factory.

One last remark. This is a big tall bike for big tall people.

Woo Hoo!

This bike is fast. It has no problems cruising me right up these steep bay area hills in my neighborhood and I'm pretty big. 6"7' 280lbs.. honestly I don't think I will ever have to pedal again if I don't want to. The way the throttle responds reminds me of my Accords CVT transmission.. It's very smooth but you can feel the power is there if you want to stomp on it. If you're concerned about the money and are thinking of buying a lesser model as I was, I now say it's money well spent. Buy this model. You will be pleased.

I just went over 1000 miles and my wife's hit 850, Both bikes have been trouble free since we got them a year ago this month. We fold them and take them with us in our airplane. We have not rented a car since we got them. We love the way they ride. We always get asked about them whenever we stop. People are drawn to the looks and are very interested in e-bikes in general. I see the rack is now standard equipment. It wasn't when I bought mine, but I added it later. Would'n't be without it.
