Riding an electric bike opens up a world of eco-friendly transportation, adventure, and fun. Whether you’re commuting to work, exploring scenic trails, or simply enjoying a leisurely ride around the neighborhood, electric bikes offer an efficient and enjoyable way to travel. This comprehensive guide is designed for beginners and experienced riders alike, providing essential tips and techniques to ensure a safe and smooth riding experience. By mastering the following steps and precautions, you’ll be well-equipped to handle your electric bike with confidence and ease.

1. Take a test drive in an open, flat area with gentle hills or small bumps, preferably in a quiet and safe location. Make sure to wear safety gear, including a helmet, knee pads, reflective clothing, and other protective equipment.
2. Always keep the motor off when mounting or dismounting your e-bike or e-trike. Turn it on only after you are securely seated and ready to ride. Similarly, switch off the motor before dismounting to prevent potential accidents.
3. Adjust the seat height to proper position. Sit in a relaxed position on the saddle with your feet on the pedals and look straight ahead, not at the display.
4. Put the gear in the lowest position and preferably do not use the pedal assist initially.
5. Make sure you know how to brake and keep your hands near the brake.
6. Start taking a large turn at minimum speed, lean in the same direction as you turn, and accelerate slowly.
7. Gently apply both brakes and maintain a safe speed of 10 MPH or lower when downhill.
8. Never ride in extreme weather especially when ambient temperatures are less than -5°C (23°F) or above ambient temperatures of 40°C (104°F). Freezing temperatures will negatively affect battery range and performance, and also cause the battery not to work, which is dangerous.
9. Always obey local laws when riding.

By following these steps and precautions, you can ensure a safe and enjoyable electric biking experience. Remember to always wear safety gear and adhere to traffic laws to keep yourself protected. We hope this guide provides valuable information and helps you become a more skilled electric bike rider. Happy riding!
