With the weather turning warmer and less rainy, May is the perfect time to start and get off the couch. As we get closer to National Bike to Work Day, would you like to join us for a bike ride at this wonderful time?
Bike to Work Day reminds everyone of a simple way to work out, enjoy the scenery, and commute to and from the workplace. It’s not only good for the body but also good for the environment and will give you a mental boost.
What is Bike to Work Day & Bike Month?
Established in 1956, National Bike Month is promoted by the League of American Bicyclists and celebrated in communities from coast to coast. It is a chance to showcase the many benefits of bicycling — and encourage more people to try. In 2022, May is National Bike Month, with Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 20. How to participate in this movement?
There are many opportunities to get involved with Bike to Work Day, you can try out some of these ideas to get started:
1. Ride a Bike to Work
Compared with driving or taking public transit, bicycling to work means better health, cost saving, being environment friendly, active, and interacting with the rest of the world. No need for hard pedaling as an electric bike with a sustainable battery and a powerful motor provides smooth and comfortable riding. It also helps you save time and effort for pedaling.
How to get started? Don’t be afraid to start small. Set yourself a goal to ride to work every Monday, then slowly up your goal to twice a week. If you enjoy riding, then keep going up to three, four, or even five days a week.

2. Buy a New Bike
What could be a better way to celebrate Bike to Work Day than to pull up to the office with a shiny new bike. Whether it is a road bike with rail-thin tires and super aerodynamics, or a city bike complete with a basket and a bell, it will be fun to have a new bike to ride to work.
Don’t forget to pick up the other necessary gear, such as a helmet, special shoes, pedal grips, sunglasses, and a backpack. Feel free to visit Addmotor for more electric bikes and accessories.
